What is trends.xvn.app?

A free, live dashboard of what people are into right now: the searches rising fastest on Google, the most popular songs and albums, the films and TV shows people are watching and reading about, and the brands and apps getting attention. There is no sign-up and nothing to install.

Where does the trend data come from?

Rising searches come from Google Trends. Song, album, film, TV and app charts come from Apple's public iTunes charts for each country, and the global music charts come from Deezer. Films, TV, brands and people "in the spotlight" are based on Wikipedia pageviews by country, classified using Wikidata.

How often are the trends updated?

Rising searches refresh about every 20 minutes. Music, film and app charts refresh every few hours. Wikipedia figures are published once a day, usually one to two days behind, so those lists show the latest full day available.

What do the arrows and the "×" numbers mean?

An arrow such as ▲3 shows how many places an item has climbed since roughly a day earlier, and "New" means it has just entered the chart. A figure like ×4.2 means the item got 4.2 times as many Wikipedia reads on the latest day as it usually did over the previous week. The small line next to it shows 14 days of daily reads.
